Group Therapy

A variety of group support is available to help individuals with anxiety incorporate additional, affordable treatment. Groups aim to decrease isolation often experienced by those who are suffering, while enhancing coping skills in the group environment.

This group is intended for women with young children. The transition to motherhood is not always easy, and for those experiencing anxiety during, before and/or after pregnancy, it can be even more challenging.

You will share experiences with anxiety and/or motherhood and connect with other women in a safe space.

I created this group to decrease isolation among anxious moms and increase access to seeking self care and socialization. This group is appropriate for patients experiencing symptoms of perinatal or postpartum distress (OCD, anxiety, depression) or social anxiety.

The groups meets every other week on Tuesdays from 8:30pm-9:15pm EST.

Cost: $25 per group, monthly commitment required. Disruptive children in the background are welcome.  Maximum of eight patients, wait list options available.

Please note AMSH takes place exclusively over Zoom at this time.

This group is appropriate for adult patients with OCD, Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder and Specific Phobias. The group is meant to be an adjunct to individual therapy, or is appropriate for a patient who has graduated from individual anxiety treatment and is looking for a space to maintain consistency with their long term goals. This group is not meant to replace individual therapy, or be done lieu of individual treatment.

This is a CBT  based therapy group that focuses on using elements of Exposure Response Prevention to address symptoms of severe anxiety. Patients should have an understanding of the basic tenets of ERP, this group is not appropriate for beginners.

In addition to directly addressing symptoms related to a patient's anxiety, the group aims to:

  • Decrease isolation

  • Build social support

  • Increase knowledge in evidence-based solutions for severe anxiety

  • Enhance motivation toward treatment goals

  • An opportunity for increased exposure practice.

I require a complimentary screening call for any individuals interested in joining the group. I am also happy to hop on a call with any providers who have questions or would like more information

Through my work with individuals with anxiety, I have consistently seen patients with well-informed and knowledgeable support systems, not only better maintain their therapeutic gains, but continue enhancing therapeutic gains outside their sessions.

In the past, I created family groups using CBT, ACT and mindfulness strategies to help foster a better understanding of the challenges faced by individuals in their lives; and to learn tools to enhance the strength of the family support system.

I currently offer private, three-session workshops aimed at strengthening the support system of OCD & PPMD suffers. Both tracks are focused on providing evidence-based tools and resources grounded in CBT principles. Workshops can be done over Zoom or in person.

If you’re interested in Community Support Workshops, or would like to receive more information on treatment and programming, please send me an email or reach out to schedule a complimentary screening call.
